Disconnected – a book for parents of teenagers written by Chap Clark, youth ministry expert and author of Hurt, and his wife, Dee — offers parents insights into parenting teenagers in today’s culture. The book is divided into two parts. Part 1 explores the culture and world of teens today. If you’ve read Hurt very little of the information in this section will be new.
The second part offers suggestions and insights about relating to and raising children through different life stages. This is the most useful part of the book. I will share excerpts and brief comments from part 2 throughout the summer. I hope you find these insightful.
Let me know if you have any questions about other resources for parents.
