Movie in the Park

We are planning to go to Little Rock’s Movie in the Park this Wednesday for Refuge to see Kung Fu Panda (rated PG). The movie is free. Meet at LRC at 7 PM. Transportation will be provided to Riverfront Park. The movie begins around 8 PM. Students may want to bring money for concessions. We should return to around 10 PM.

Food for the Hungry

For 7-12^th graders. Help with the Food for the Hungry ministry Monday, June 28. Arrive at 5 PM ready to help serve food, carry boxes and assist in other ways. We’ll end the night together at a Travelers baseball game. Tickets are $8 ($4 if under 14 years old). Eat before you come or bring extra money for the ballpark. Sign up with Chad by this Wednesday, June 23.

Mission Ft. Worth

Mission Ft. Worth team members should complete their work for the last $50 of their mission trip this week. Please make the final $50 payment by next Sunday, June 27. Team members will meet for about 30 minutes immediately after Refuge, June 30. Parents are not required to be there. I will give the students a final packing list and schedule to bring home.

Rivercity Ministry 5K

Register now for the Rivercity Ministry 5K Walk/Run at the Burns Park soccer complex Saturday, July 17 at 7:30 AM. Rivercity Ministry helps the homeless in Little Rock receive health care, social services, and other help. Find out more about this important ministry  and register for the race at www.rivercityministry.org. It’s great exercise for a great cause!
