Just one more…  slice of pizza… one more minute… one more chore to do… one more exam…  one more video game. That short phrase can be filled with hope, despair, or reflect an already overfilled, full schedule. I don’t know about you, but “just one more…” often stresses me out. I’m not sure I want just one more… Well, when it comes to pizza maybe I do.

I invite you to consider something as you begin this new week. Would Jesus be on that list of “just one more…” Is following Jesus just one more thing to do, one more rule to follow, one more event to attend. messy. What do you do with him? Because as wonderful as He is, He steps into our lives and makes things messy. He leads us down paths we never thought we would go. He asks us to do things we don’t always want to do. And even with all that, somehow life still turns out even better than we dreamed.

This week,spend time meditating on John 6. Consider the following words especially:

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” – John 6:35
