The past 17 hours have been filled with nervousness, anticipation, disappointment, surprise, frustration, anger, joy, satisfaction, and love. As I go to bed it’s hard to describe for you what today has been like. You had to be there. I was changed today. I was changed by 13 teens who worked alongside 22 others. I was changed by their work ethic, joy, enthusiasm and Christ-like spirit. I was changed by our adult’s leadership, attitudes and compassion toward others around them. I was touched by Carl’s joy as he said that he had never felt so welcomed by a church before. I pray he will walk through our doors one day soon. I plan to visit him next week. I heard stories from residents tonight as nearly 200 people gathered for food, music and getting to know [...]

A lifelong resident of this neighborhood, he’s active in his church serving in the food pantry. He also spends much of his time in Benny Craig Park enjoying daily walks. He organizes a small group of volunteers, mostly elderly, to walk and pick up litter in the park. That small group also maintains two small flower beds at the park’s entrance. This Saturday, we have the opportunity to encourage Mr. Templeton and others who live in, and care for, this neighborhood and park. It’s a terrific way to show others we care! Join us this Saturday. It’s not too late to sign up. Contact Chad Nall (chad@littlerockchurch.org) to [...]

It is the Wednesday morning after the Soft-Launch of Re:New Community Church, and I am more excited than ever. I have spent the last couple of days really thinking about this past Sunday, what I saw, heard, felt, and thought, as well as anticipating this upcoming Sunday, and even Easter – the Sunday after that. I’d like to share my perspective from last week, and a goal or two with you for the next couple of weeks. Sunday was a day I will never forget. I had asked many of you to help set-up Sunday about 9:00am in the restaurant at the AllFam Bowling center in Cabot, but I couldn’t wait until 9. I [...]
