This post is from Spencer Dunlap.  He is a church planter for Little Rock Church in Cabot, AR. Wednesday, April 13. It is the Wednesday morning after the Soft-Launch of Re:New Community Church, and I am more excited than ever.  I have spent the last couple of days really thinking about this past Sunday, what I saw, heard, felt, and thought, as well as anticipating this upcoming Sunday, and even Easter – the Sunday after that. I’d like to share my perspective from last week, and a goal or two with you for the next couple of weeks. Sunday was a day I will never forget.  I had asked many of you to help set-up Sunday about 9:00am in the restaurant at the AllFam Bowling center in Cabot, but I couldn’t wait until 9.  I [...]

I had the privledge of preaching at Mundo De Fe Christian Church last Sunday at their 2 PM service.  MDFCC meets in the LR Church building on Sunday afternoons at 2 PM and on Wednesday nights at 7 PM.  MDFCC is a spanish speaking church.  They have used our building for about 6 months.  I was there to celebrate their four year anniversary.  They had a special day planned to honor their past four years.  The church has grown from one family to over 80 members.  They had a little over 100 people in their Sunday assembly.  They pastor of Mundo De Fe is Sergio MacQuil.  Sergio helps our church by serving at the Food for the Hungry ministry.  He has four children and wonderful wife named Monica.  One of the things that impressed me on Sunday [...]

I attended Gateway Church today as they began meeting in their new building on West Longhills Road.  I was so encouraged to see the people that gather there each Sunday. As you remember, Little Rock Church planted Gateway Church four years ago this Easter.  Gateway Church is doing great things in the community of Benton.  They have come a long way since their beginning three years ago.  They finally have a permanent home to worship together, enjoy fellowship, and serve the community.  Their building is multipurpose and very functional.  I would encourage every person at LR Church to make the trek down there in the coming weeks.  You will be blessed and encouraged.  We will reschedule the work day that was set for last Saturday to put mulch and plant trees around their building in the coming [...]

Tomorrow is the deadline for bringing bicycles for David O’Dodd Elementary. Bicycles can be any size and in any condition. Recycle Bikes for Kids will refurbish the bikes we collect as well as donate an additional 25 bicycles to make available to families who need them. Bring the bikes to the Nichols Building roll-up door on the back side of the building. You can leave them outside that door.  Families from David O’Dodd will pick up bicycles the week of December 13. This is a great way to get rid of bikes you have been storing and help our neighbors at Dodd! See Chad Nall for more information.

Can you imagine? 34,578 cans of food were donated by Little Rock Church family to the Food for the Hungry Ministry.  In a year when the economy is so tough, during a season when LRC also gave $126,000 to complete the Nichols Ministry Building, and right before the Holiday season, the LRC family gave until it hurt!  Way to go GOD!  It is amazing to see the Body of Christ at work.  I have to admit that you guys and the Holy Spirit surprised me.  I think I was praying for a miracle but not fully believing.  I had told many people that we could not even get close to last year’s total.  But, we did!  Glory to God! As you know, the food will be stored in the Nichols Ministry building and used over [...]
