Psalm 127:3 tells us "Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.". At Little Rock Church we treasure our children and strive to educate them and provide them with activities that will help them grow up to be servants for the Lord. Our Children's Ministry is led by Chad Nall our Youth and Family Minister. Chad is in charge of all ministry events, curriculum planning, and classes. Curriculum:

In the 4-year-old class through the 6th grade class we use Group's Hands on Curriculum. Group's curriculum uses everyday objects to teach children about God and His Kingdom. If you are interested in finding out more about Group's Curriculum, please visit their site at www.HandsOnBible.com. We chose the Group curriculum because it was based in God's word, but also has application in children's everyday lives.

In the 2 and 3-year-old classes we use God's Light Curriculum. The God's Light Curriculum is theme based on stories from God's word such as Creation, Stories of David, the life of Jesus, etc. God's Light Curriculum also features hand made crafts that are sent home each week with the child.

In the youngest classes, we use songs and Bible stories to teach the kids the importance of committing to a class. The children also have an extended play time and snack time.

Teachers:

Little Rock Church uses adult members to teach it's children. Each year over 50 adults help teach. We are so thankful for the faithful support of our adult volunteers. Each adult involved has visited with the Youth and Family Minister and has the approval of the ministry leaders.

Classrooms:

The LRC children's ministry is thankful to Delores DuVall for hand painting the classrooms in 2-4 year old area. Mrs. DuVall also painted the hallway leading to the classrooms. We appreciate her commitment to use her God given talent to serve the lives of many children.

Nursery:

We have an attended nursery for children 2 years old and younger in a classroom during the worship assembly. Children 3 or older are asked to participate with their family in the worship assembly. The nursery is attended by three LRC adult women and teen helpers. The nursery rotation is formed quarterly. We also have a private room available for nursing mothers.

Playground:

After services children can make use of our playground area that is accessible from the classrooms on the right side of the auditorium. The playground is completely fenced in and is supervised each week by a LRC family.
