D-NOW WEEKEND

A trade is always easier when we realize something we have isn’t quite as good as what we can get. We’re willing to trade in a car when the repair costs just become too much. Or a bologna sandwich for a slice of fresh-from-the-oven pizza. Or a phone with a dying battery for one that does things we never knew a phone could do.
In the book of Mark, the author shows us through the life and teachings of Jesus that what we have—our lives, our perspectives, the way we view others—is worth trading. And when we make that trade, we get more than we ever would have without it. Will you consider making a trade?
What is a D-Now weekend?
D-Now stands for Disciple Now. It’s a retreat that not only allows students to get out of the normal routine and spend extended time with one another, but also focus on becoming more like Christ through teaching, worship, play and ministry. It’s similar to your typical retreat with a few exceptions. First, rather than go away you stay in you stay in our communty. Second, you spend the night in host homes with a small group of students and your leader. Third, you experience large group teaching, worship and activities. Fourth, you spend time growing closer to others by serving the community together as part of the weekend. It’s an excellent way for parents to be involved who would not normally get to.
D-Now is February 24-26, 2012. Cost is $47 ($55 after February 5). You may register online and pay through Pay Pal or by giving Chad Nall a check. Make checks payable to Little Rock Church.
