Life is good when we live according to Jesus’ teachings. This includes developing Christlike virtues such as generosity, hope, and obedience. Children entering kindergarten through 6th grade will explore these virtues this summer at Summer on the Rock every Sunday morning 9-9:45 AM.  Contact Chad Nall for more details.

Expecting something good to come from something bad

As part of Summer on the Rock families are encouraged to participate in Project Generosity. The purpose of this project includes:

1. Educating our children about the needs of other children throughout the world
2. Teach children that something as simple as collecting spare change makes a difference in  the life of another person.

Take a rice bowl home. Collect spare change. Bring your change to Summer on the Rock each week and add it to your group’s rice bowl. Every bowl filled represents a child fed through Rice Bowls. Rice Bowls partners with orphanages in Haiti and South Africa to feed children. Invite your family and friends to help provide food for hungry children. Family Time Virtue Packs

FamilyTimes™ is designed to help equip parents with easy to use tools to make the most of everyday moments together. This tool is based on the biblical model that teaches that the home should be the primary place where a child learns about God.

Here’s what the bible says to parents about teaching virtues to their children: “Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:7

FamilyTimes Virtue Packs provide activities to be used once a week during each of these four family times – MealTime, DriveTime, BedTime, and MorningTime. All of this is designed to give parents simple ways to help their kids grow in faith and character

Each Virtue pack focuses on one of the three virtues taught at Summer on the Rock.
