This ministry is maintained and primarily supported financially by members of Little Rock Church. Home Away From Home welcomes financial and ministry support from other area churches and nurtures an atmosphere of cooperation among all the body of Christ as we attempt to live out the admonitions of Matthew chapter 25: “I was a stranger and you invited me in. . . I was sick and you visited me.

History
In 1995 God lead two members of Little Rock Church to begin an outreach to bone-marrow transplant patients. It became evident there was a pressing need for affordable short-term and long-term housing meeting the transplant patient’s special needs. With the assistance and encouragement of patient Dave Hanson and his wife, Pat, three apartments were opened for this purpose in the fall of 1995.
